I am an authorial illustrator! Fantasy creatures and robots, magic and monsters, and above all people, usually in impractical but aesthetically pleasing costumes. I paint digitally, but prefer a line-based style for quicker, more stylised imagery, and have collaborated with other artists in the past resulting in a very versatile blend of styles I can make my own.

Languages are a passion of mine, I try to learn as many as I can in my free time, and grew up bilingual with Spanish as my first and English as my second language. I’m currently learning Russian and Japanese, and my French and German are passable though not very smooth. I studied science in school, music and performing arts in college, and then ultimately landed back on art by the time I reached university; a fixture of my life since childhood. You’ll never find me sitting idly; drawing helps me think!

My professional background includes:

• An A* A Level in Spanish at Callywith College

• A college certificate in performing arts at Plymouth City College

• A bachelor’s in Illustration at University of Plymouth

• Years of commission-based work experience as a freelance illustrator online

I’ve been commissioned for background painting, character design, portraits either realistic or stylised of humans, pets and characters, scenes from written stories, and events described by the commissioner. For university I’ve painted scenic backdrops for maquettes, illustrated editorial articles and book covers, decorated stalls, even animated several short sequences. 

My goals for the future involve being part of an online project ideally - either as part of an international company or as a freelance artist and illustrator - and moving back to the city where I grew up. I’m looking to illustrate books and book covers, board game box art and editorial articles for magazines or newspapers, especially if the work involves painting characters.
